I got to work with the amazing team at Man Repeller again to bring the Fall 2018 trends to life. We had two weeks to bring the project together as fashion month was wrapping up in late February. Here's a bit on how the post came together!
(Shoutout to Art Director - Emily Zirimis and Fashion Editor - Harling Ross for allowing me to work on this fun project!)

We had a total of 12 trend looks so I had to stay consistent with the display of the look as well as the movement so that any quick change could be taken care of within minutes.

I developed a mood board for the MR Team that seemed a little all over the place - I really wanted to experiment with double exposure images, but it proved to be a bit more time consuming than I thought so we stuck to the "drawn-on" texture from the little luchador picture. I went in to Photoshop and developed a couple of "spice up doodles" and then animated them in AE.

Originally each trend only changed between 2 colors and scribble effects highlighted the focus of the trend. After putting together a couple of the other trends, I began to notice that it wasn't really going to work since it took the attention away from the runaway look. I went back to the drawing board and decided to incorporate the same texture feeling, but this time in the background. We also decided to add more colors so that it didn't feel too dull. To make up for the static photo movement, I added more life into how the type transitioned (some looks even have the type changing colors as it comes in!) In the end, these little pieces added liveliness to the piece without steering the eye away from the runaway look.

Thanks for reading! Don't forget to check out the piece here!
